Mr Norman Waterhouse is a London plastic surgeon, who graduated from Birmingham University in 1978. His early surgical training took place in Cambridge and Bristol and in 1982 he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow.

His higher surgical training in Plastic Surgery was carried out in Bristol and London as well as periods spent at specialist centres in Bordeaux, Tokyo and Adelaide. In 1988 he gained the Specialist Fellowship in Plastic Surgery FRCS (Plast). He was appointed as a Consultant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to St Bartholomew’s Hospital and the Royal London Hospital in 1989. He was subsequently appointed as Lead Clinician and Director of the Craniofacial Unit at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, treating all forms of facial conditions. His interest in facial surgery constituted the majority of his NHS practice. In 2005 he resigned from the NHS and is now in full time private practice, where he undertakes all forms of cosmetic surgery in addition to reconstructive and facial surgery. He has published over fifty papers in the medical literature, and has an active research and teaching profile. He has supervised undergraduate degree courses in conjunction with Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine. He is frequently an invited speaker and member of expert panels on international courses and conferences on facial aesthetic surgery. He has served as a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the British Journal of Plastic Surgery.

In 2003 he co-founded the charity ‘Facing the World’ treating children from developing countries with a wide variety of congenital facial conditions. He has travelled to Sri Lanka, Ghana, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Ethiopia treating children with cleft lip and palate and other major facial conditions. Mr Waterhouse is a volunteer with Operation Smile travelling to developing countries worldwide offering cleft lip and palate surgery to children who would not otherwise be able to access surgery. He is a full member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, The European Craniofacial Society, the International Society of Craniofacial Surgery and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He is a former President of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and a former President of the Royal Society of Medicine. He is included in the Specialist Register established by the General Medical Council in 1995.

Mr Naresh Joshi is Consultant Oculoplastic surgeon at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Trust London and Honorary Consultant to the Royal Marsden.

He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College London. Currently, he represents the Royal College of Ophthalmologists on the BSI (British Standards Institute) and CEN (Communite European Normalization) committees for the regulation of safety in aesthetic procedures. He is a founder member of the British Ophthalmic Plastic surgical Society (BOPSS). Nominated by the committee of BAAPS (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) as an interspecialty member for his contribution to the training curriculum and educational lectures to the plastic surgical community.

He has an interest in reconstructive ophthalmic plastic surgery in craniofacial anomalies. He is the co-founder of the Craniofacial Ophthalmic Plastic Service (COPS), at Chelsea and Westminster hospital, and is an active member of the charity Facing The World, (FTW). He has lectured throughout the world, on many aspects of reconstructive and aesthetic ophthalmic plastic surgery.

Dr. Chiara Botti, Plastic and Aesthetic Surgeon, completed her studies at the University of Brescia. She is member of AICPE (Italian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery), and an honorary member of the Paraguayan Society of Plastic Surgery. Her main passion is surgery of the face, with particular interest in the aging process. For years she has devoted herself with great satisfaction to the development of fat grafting techniques.

Since the first year of enrollment in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery she has supported her father (Dr. Giovanni Botti) in daily practice of cosmetic surgery. Therefore, as a result, at age 41 she already has 20 years of experience in the field!

Chiara’s training was very varied with prolonged periods of training with other colleagues and clinics around the world. 

She studied one semester at the Newcastle University in Australia, working at the same time as researcher in endocrinology, which yielded publications in leading international journals. 

She participated for protracted periods to surgical activities in the University Hospitals of Lübeck (Germany), Natal (Brazil), Chiba (Japan) and in the departments of prof. Hexner (Frankfurt), Mottura (Cordoba, Argentina), Ribeiro (Rio de Janeiro), Gonzalez (Ribeirao Preto, Brazil), Bratu (Timisoara, Romania), Marten and Bowers (San Francisco, California). In recent years she has taken part in many of the most important courses and conferences in Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery, in Italy as well as abroad (Vienna, Brussels, Stuttgart, Helsinki, Hamburg, Barcelona, ​​Vittorio Veneto, Asuncion, Munich, Ferrara, Bergamo, Padua, Tenerife, Reggio Emilia, Udine, Florence, Ravenna, Tehran, Bern, Berlin, Kuwait City, Mexico City, Nice, Taif –Saudi Arabia- just to mention a few, both as speaker and operator in live surgery sessions.

She deepened her knowledge in the field of anti-aging medicine by participating to the master organized by the European Society of Anti-Aging Medicine. We are delighted and honoured to welcome Chiara to our faculty.

FRCS(plast) An experienced aesthetic surgeon, Mr Ion trained in both Europe and the UK. He received his medical degree from the University of Bucharest and started his general and plastic surgical training in Paris where he studied in several prestigious hospitals.

He continued his training in Britain and passed the examinations to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS). His advanced training in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery was completed in central London plastic surgery units covering all the aspects of the specialty. This training included a fellowship in aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery at The Wellington Hospital in London. Once his training was complete, Mr Ion successfully passed both the Intercollegiate Board exam in plastic surgery and the European Board exam in the specialty, and was included on the Register of Medical Specialists of the General Medical Council, under the entry, plastic surgery.

In 2000 he was appointed to the position of Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where Mr Ion was actively involved in the multidisciplinary management of skin malignancies as well with general plastic surgery, reconstructive procedures and post-bariatric surgery body contouring. In July 2012 Mr Ion retired from NHS practice to dedicate his time to aesthetic surgery and associated treatments in full-time private practice.

Niall Kirkpatrick qualified in both Medicine and Dentistry from Guy’s Hospital. Niall became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine from the University of London.

He is a Consultant Plastic surgeon and practices from his private practice in central London. Previously he was head of the Craniofacial Unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College, London and Honorary Consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital where he was a member of the national complex Neurofibromatosis-1 multidisciplinary unit. Niall was also previously Consultant Plastic Surgeon at both the Royal Marsden Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital as a member of the Head and Neck Cancer Units.

He is a past President of the Royal Society of Medicine Plastic Surgery Section. Niall was a core member of the North West London specialist multidisciplinary team for the management of skin cancers and an examiner for the Intercollegiate Board in Plastic Surgery. Andre Auersvald has an incredible background in plastic surgery. He is widely recognised as one of the leading facial plastic surgeons in the world and has been honoured for his work many times. He has been President, secretary and treasurer of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery. Andre is a member of the prestigious ISAPS International plastic surgeons society as well as his native society in Brazil. He has trained under the world famous surgeon, Ivo Pitanguy before honing his own techniques in advanced facial surgery.

Andre has been a specialist in plastic surgery since 1993 and is asked to lecture all over the world. We are honoured and privileged to have him as part of the faculty.

Anthony Wolfe, M.D. is Director of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Miami Children’s Hospital, and Director of an ACGME accredited Craniofacial Fellowship that has trained over 60 fellows. Dr. Wolfe graduated from Harvard Medical School and completed a General Surgery Residency at The Peter Bent Brigham Hospital under Francis 0. Moore. He then went through a Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of Miami under D. Ralph Millard, Jr., M.D. Following this, he spent a year as Assistant to Paul Tessier, in Paris, and then returned to Miami to go into practice with Dr. Millard.

Dr. Wolfe is certified by The American Board of Surgery and The American Board of Plastic Surgery, and serves as a Senior Examiner for the latter. He is a Founding Member of The International Society of Craniofacial Surgeons, and Past President of The American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons and The Rhinoplasty Society. He has served on the Editorial Boards of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and The Annals of Plastic Surgery.
